Is Honesty Always Necessary?
One thing I’ve noticed about people in India (I don’t want to sound like I know all the people in India, I’m only speaking of those who I have met) is that they are always completely honest. At home, I think people will have no issue telling someone they look good, even if they don’t. But here, people say exactly what they think. Like when I put my glasses on in school for the first time, a classmate looked at me and just said, “You don’t look good in specs.” Well I didn’t really care, because I would rather see the board than look ‘good’, so I left them on. Then the girl next to me said, “You should really get more delicate frames. How much did those cost??” Again, I didn’t ask her opinion, but she gave it anyway!
